WILL A D16A1 FIT INTO A 1989 HATCHBACK CIVIC???

ok will a d16a1 head fit on a D15b2? Yes i got the motor for free. i am trying to get rid of dual point

 

Nope, that engine and head is a no go for anything 88+. Your run-of-the-mill mimi-me is a MUCH better solution.

 

keep it though..not too many d16a1's left.....im sure!!! someone wil want it to swap into those ultra lite 3g civics

i hear so much about it and dont know what it is and i am a very skilled tuner.

 

skills.....if you can convert to obd-1....u can do that right......skilled tuner?????

convert to obd-1....get a p28 ecu.....get a d16z6 head(92-95 1.6l civic si) or d16y8 head(96-00 1.6L civic si)..wire up 02 sensor wires...and vtec..and ur flying mini me Vtak Yo....lol

but yeah man....go to google.ca and go nutz...search mini me swap......and ull find out all that is good

mini me basically a mini lS vtec..(b18 block...b16 head)
so this way you are...for a mini me..using a d15b2 block(88-91 civic stock)...or a d16a6 block(88-91 civic si..better)...and putting one of those heads on(z6 or y8)

yup....its just that i head a6 bottom end is a little beefier..but if the blocks in there already ...than dont bother....1.5 has a better rod/stroke ratio...so u should be fine...but if everythings out..then put the rebuilt d16a6 block in there

 

no i really mean turbo and supercharge like the meguairs integra

lol same here. i got a d16a1 intake miani and i cant get rid of it, even for free

 

lol...well atleast in central Canada they are really hard to come by..

d16a1 wont fit it comes out of the old sku integra ls so the mounts is diffent its like a jdm zc dohc motor but amrican version
