Default HOW TO: change the bushing on the shift linkage / stabilizer?

Anyone know if this would be DIY kinda thing or a take it to the shop and let the pro's do it?

If its a DIY, how easy and how long would this take?

Simple bolt ons?

Thanks!

very simple matter of unbolting a bolt or two and swapping the bushings.

Not hard at all. The hardest part is getting the round bushing in. Just grease it up and put some muscle into it.

ha thats funny cause i just recently got the urge to do them to my car and i picked up some enerygy suspension bushings at pep boys the day before thanksgiving and just had to put them in so thanksgiving morning im freezing my *** of putting them in. the round on is a bitch especially if you keep the stabilizer bar connected at the shifter cause you have to put it on under the car. (i should of took the whole thing out). if you put the dished part in first it bends easier and then just squeeze it with plyers and it pops right in, just dont forget the wd-40. the other bushing is pretty easy, i bent the flare a little so it went on no problem.

Uber easy install. Just as easy as installing side motor mout inserts or sway bar bushings.

I used a set of thoses, Lined up the bushing, put a bunch of grease on it, and jsut kept clamping down on. I have used these things a thousand time for bushings and other such stuff.
