out of curiousity what temperatures are you running at?
My bike runs at 179 on the highway, even if it's hot out, and then goes anywhere above that when i'm doing city riding.

I've heard water wetter drops the temp like 10 degrees, good stuff.

But a solution to a symptom, not a problem, in this case.

Find out why, don't just band aid it.

I dont see the problem. Their bikes dont run the exact same temperature, whats the issue? If you took 4 bikes right off the showroom floor and ran them all through the exactly same course, are they going to show the exact same temperature degree for degree at the beginning, middle, and end? Or will they vary, but not vary by 15-20 degrees?

Go find a steep hill and sprint up it. Now take a 20lb weight and run up the same hill. Which was more difficult? Which made you sweat more?

How much bigger in general than your buddy are you? Could it be a matter of aerodynamics as well?

I'm not saying there's something wrong with the motor - I'm saying you should find out. Throwing water wetter in the radiator and calling it a day is a terrible solution if there is indeed a problem. If there's not, great, but if there is then it's better to find out now and get the actual cause fixed then just band aiding it up.

20 pounds, relatively speaking, is not that great of a difference for a bike... not enough for it to warrant a huge load difference.

Okay guys, Motorcycles are supopsed to run hot!!!! THey are designed well, that is why the whole darn thing is made of Aluminum and they designed the engine to tolerances that allow for a HOT engine, yes weight matters, BUT however, that is why there is a Thermostat and a temperature activated fan.

In fact, our motorcycles are overheating whenever they reach about 255-265 degrees of Farenhieit (excuse my spelling) so trust me our motorcyles are doing okay, if you want to, you can exchange your fluid now with Motuls racing coolant and if you want to add water wetter, however, I have heard, but not confirmed yet, that watter wetter can cause corrosion. But with the Motul I saw at least a 5-7 degree drop in Temp. GIve it a try and dont worry

OKay well I still dont uderstand why you think that you need watter wetter, the bike operates alot smoother when the temperatures are a little higher, most race bikes operate around, 220
