Hi, I have a 94 accord VTI.
I have just replaced my auto trans with a low km Jap import.
It is working very well except that when downshifting to 2nd or 3rd it changes fine but lacks power for a second or two before it takes off. This only happens in D4 (D3 works fine).
It can happen in any gear most of the time but not all the time.
When it happens I can manually knock it into D3 and it takes off fine.
It also works fine if I manually knock it into D3 when the problem occurs in D4.
The ECM fault codes only show the light stays on (no blincking). I am using honda fluid and have a reco torque convertor.
