cracked heat sheild

I found out that i have a cracked heat sheild around my catalytic converter, i was wonderin what i should do. Should i juss pop it out? would like to kno asap cuz that sound is annoyin thanks

pull it off......then throw it at someone you hate. that noise makes me want to kill
