do what I do and run open down pipe. If you have to get exhaust then just make your own. I know that with about 100 dollars worth of pipe you can make a pretty decent one.

 

Go to your local muffler shop and get a custom exhaust.

Thats what I did and I couldn't be happier

 

True no need to be paying $500+ on some pipes with a muffler, but if your a baller and must insist go for it.

I second this, only most muffler shops will automatically do Crush bent piping...just tell them you want Mandrel and you will be all set. Just buy a muffler to go with it.

You say that as if mandrel pipe bending machines were a common muffler shop item.

This machine is very expensive and takes time to set up. It's also expensive to have a custom mandrel bent exhaust made compared to a crush bent system. You just dont run into any muffler shop and say "I want mandrel bent exhaust." You would be hard pressed finding a shop that is capable of custom making a mandrel bent exhaust system for you.

You can order mandrel bent pipe kits. Flow Master and Magnaflow sell such kits. You only need (3)90 degree elbows. The rest of the pipe can be used from the shop.

Maybe in Kuwait, but where i live it's not that difficult to get mandrel bent piping from an exhaust shop.

 

if u do end up going with a crush bend exhaust.......i'd suggest going .25 inch bigger than u planned to compensate for the bit of restriction that will occur in the bends.

Exactly, because if you ask for 2.75" piping, your actually going to be getting 2.5" because of the bends. Im sure you get the idea....

Not that He lives in Kuwait, he is actually an Orlando Florida resident. I bet i can count on 1 hand how many exhaust shops have mandrel pipe bending machines on thier premesis in the Miami area. Most shops that have mandrel bent pipe order and stock it.

Yep, most all muffler shops stock mandrel bent piping sections, they don't have an actual mandrel bender. If you want all mandrel bends you can get it easily.

Yeah, I'm a U.S. Citizen, working in Kuwait! $dolla dolla dolla bills ya'll, holla!

 

I have yet to see a shop in the Dallas - Ft Worth metroplex that has a Mandrel bender.

 

3 local muf shop quoted me $600 + due to 3" mandrel being hard to locate

i went through flowmasters jobber catologue and i can make the whole system with clamps not including mufflers for about $100
