Default Flywheel\Pressure plate bolts

It says to replace these, and mine do have some rust on the heads. Should I replace them? I want to to be safe, but

1. Thier like 3 bucks each, and
2. I have to order them, meaning a delay

Thanks

First time I replaced a clutch ('90 Integra), I replaced the flywheel and pressure plate bolts, 'cuz I wanted to "do it right". That was also the LAST time I replaced those when I did a clutch. Nowadays I re-use them unless they're really chewed up and I just can't get a socket on them. I used my old ones when I put the new clutch in my '91 CRX over two years ago, and haven't had any problems with the clutch, flywheel, transmission, or anything else...

ive never heard of seen anyone order new clutch bolts....mine and everyone i know seems to have no issues with re using them. If it were the head bolts I would say yes.

yes you can reuse the bolts as long as the heads on the bolts arent all stripped or anything happy turkey day!

p.s. forgot to mention, you should use blue loctite on all the bolts and make sure you torque all the bolts to the proper specs

What he said.

I don't know what your replacing but if your installing a new clutch you should resurface the flywheel. Many times you will wind up with clutch chatter if you don't.

Enjoy the Turkey

Me too reused probally 20 different times, on different motors and setups I've worked on. No problems as of yet.
