What rates are you running? What are your shock adjustments set to?

maybe ..... I run 450/400 rates and they're fine for me. I have Koni shocks too, so their adjustability allows me to get the car to feel pretty good. It all depends on the car you have, the streets you drive on, and how stiff is "too stiff" for you.

For any car lowered 2"+, some Ground Control upper mounts for the front end will really make a difference. They definently help over bumps because they add .75" of shock compression stroke to your suspension. That allows quite a bit more wheel travel (aprox 1") over bumps. They also come with softer bump stops in the set.

I'm daily driving my 00 gsr on 400/400, lowered around 2.5/2.0 with GC upper mounts in the front. Except for rain gutters, and the occasional bump on the I-10 that puts me into the headliner, its fine for daily use. Stiff, but streetable, and the rain gutters are only an issue because of the ride height.

At a 2" drop with low spring rates such as yours, you may be hitting the bumpstops. If you raise the car an inch and the problem goes away, then this was most likely the problem. If you find that you were hitting the bumpstop, then your choices are to run your car at the higher ride height with the springs you have or you can lower the car back down to some height based on what spring rates you can handle. The higher the spring rates you can handle comfortably, the lower you can drop your car. It's that simple.
Other possible problems:
Make sure the anti-roll bar is not binding due to possible incorrect installation.

Yes this is a great alternative to upper mounts. If you feel confident in modifying or removing your brake hose brackets, then it would be the easiest thing for you. It will lower your car more though, so you will have to use your coilovers to put it back where you had it...

I rocked 450 f, 430 r with GC upper mounts and Koni yellows, on both of my hatchbacks and they rode great. My idea of great may be different than yours though.
