Default GAS? 87(regular)? 89(mid-grade)? 93(premium)?

Ok, well I'm on my 4th Honda. a 94 Accord which I always put mid-grade(89) in because the previous owners did, a 91 CRX which I didn't care about, a 94 Integra which I put mid-grade in, and now a 94 Civic LX. Any recommendations? I've put mid-grade in once now, but I'm wondering if I should continue or if it doesn't matter. I know the manual for my Accord recommended it, but I don't have a manual for my civic...SO if someone would give me some info, I'd appreciate it, THANKS!

uh, put whatever it says in the owner's manual. putting 93 in a car that only requires 87/89 is a waste of money, and possibly performance/gas mileage.

Are you sure about the gas mileage statement? I only use 93 on my stock d15b7. It has 162k miles. I get anywhere from 38 city to 46 highway. Waste of money? It's not even $2 more to fill up from E.

To the OP: Put whatever you want in it.

I think you should only put in it what is required to run it in the manual. I don't think engineers spend millions of dollars designing engines and have no clue what gas it runs best on.

If the manual says 87, run 87. Anything else is a waste.
