A few weeks ago, I blew my tranny. It seized right as I pulled into my parking lot. I had to take out my axles just so I could push it into a spot. Question is...when I was pulling out the axles, it looked as though oil was leaking from between the bell housing and engine block...where there should be no oil in the first place. I think that the seal around the input shaft of the tranny must have got f'd up when the transmission seized or something along those lines.

So if any of that oil got on my clutch disc, is this going to cause me serious problems when I swap in a new tranny??? Will it just burn off after driving it a bit, am I gonna need to replace it..or what???? When I put the car in gear and try and give it gas and let out the clutch, it seems to grab and just stall out (since the tranny wont spin) so this would point to the clutch being ok right?

Sorry, your out of luck, cause the oil will soak the disk, and won't be able to get cleaned. Don't work, disks are cheap, and just clean the pressure plate/flywheel, might even want to get it hot tanked if its cheap around there. oh and if you need i have a b16 tranny, its an s1 and it works fine. pulled it out of a friends car b/c he got an lsd tranny.
