Can some one tell me if I have the gaslense and gasket on right?

This first pic is how I can get everything to fit together....is this ok?


These 2 pics show how if I pull off the bottom ring off the torch and try to put the gas lense gasket in the torch.....when I try to screw the cup on it only goes up so far, which of course doesn't seal.
