Default Was power steering an option

Help I have been given conflicting info towards my first EF Civic purchase.

Was power steering an option, standard equipment, or not available on a 89 Civic Si?

some auto's had them, but i've never seen it on a crx, only on civics.

but, since si's didn't even have auto's, it wouldn't have power steering.

if you're worried about being able to drive it, take it for a test drive, it's actually pretty easy to move, unless you have super wide sticky tires and you're not moving.

worse comes to worst, you could always switch it around to power steering. it's not too hard, but you'd need to pull some parts off a junker and get an alignment, if that'd keep you from getting an ed.

Thanks for the info.

I have alredy test drove a car and did not have any problems and neither should my wife. Edmunds says it was standard equipment on the Si so I thought I would check.
