exhaust rattle
since i bought my 94 Accord LX last monday, the exhuast was unbelievably loud with a huge hole in the muffler and completely rusted out steel underneith, so i took it to Meineke today and had them do cat-back system.
At first it ran perfectly quiet. then when i started driving in higher gears, it started making a grinding-rattle-vibration noise that seems to be coming from under the stick shift. i didnt have time to go back so i hoped it would go away if i ignored it (these things never do damn it!) so, it got worse and now if i give the engine a little gas regardless to whether i have it in gear it makes the loud noise. I dont know what they messed up but its going to take me more time tmrw
anybody have any ideas what it is? its almost like its coming from the cat-converter. but they werent supposed to mess around with that.

Probably hung it too high and it's rattleing under the body. Could be the exhaust is just vibrating from the air at certain rpm. I bought a cheap muffler one time, and it made it feel like my engine was going to vibrate apart. Untill the insides of the cheap muffler crumbled, then it was just loud. Went back to stock muffler. I learned, you will too. Maybe.
