why do you need to connect an oil line when building an lsvtec?

Default why do you need to connect an oil line when building an lsvtec?

since the b18b block has an oil jet, why don't you just remove the oil jet like in the mini me setup rather than run an external oil line?

Non-VTEC blocks do not have the oil pressure orifice by #4 cylinder that VTEC blocks have.
