My Cylinder to Piston Clearance
Well it looks as though I need to get some oversized Pistons. I measured the cylinder walls and the piston diameter. Here are my numbers.
X Axis
Cylinder 1 Cylinder 2 Cylinder 3 Cylinder 4
Top 3.4276 3.4284 3.4282 3.4279
Mid 3.4273 3.4276 3.4276 3.4276
Bottom 3.4268 3.4271 3.4275 3.4273
Y Axis
Cylinder 1 Cylinder 2 Cylinder 3 Cylinder 4
Top 3.4265 3.4263 3.4266 3.4268
Mid 3.4268 3.4268 3.4270 3.4271
Bottom 3.4265 3.4265 3.4269 3.4269
Piston Measurements:
#1 3.4238
#2 3.4238
#3 3.4241
#4 3.4244
As you can see, the piston to cylinder clearance is way out of tolerance. Even if you take the Smallest Cylinder Diameter, and subtract it from the largest Piston Diameter you in still end up with a .0019" clearance which is right on the hairy edge of the service tolerance. Any Thoughts?
