Help Identifiying wires on 96 Accord Coupe
Hi I've been reading the forums and going to various websites linked from them regarding a fuel line kill switch.
especially http://www.vsracing.net/~suspended/index.html
Now.. In the haynes manual and on all the sites it says that the fuel line wire should be Black/Yellow in this vehicle..
I can't seem to find a black/yellow..
There are three black wires.. One thick one with green stripe
Two other smaller ones with just dabs of silver paint on them.
I am on the drivers side door sill..
All the stores are out of those "bed of nails" probes... I might just take a large sewing needle and use that with clips... Anyone have any helpful knowledge?
ps. I realize my photography is quite lacking. and that I have dirty fat fingers...

First let me say, those are really crappy pix.
If you want to be sure, because they do use diff. colors from model to model and year to year, just pop out the bottom of the rear seat and see what colors you have there.
Here's a hint though, instead of cutting the power wire for the fuel pump, why not cut the low currant trigger/control wire from the "Engine Control Module" to the "PGM-FI Mai Relay", [fuel pump relay] it is a low currant ground, all you would need is a 1 amp mini off/on switch

Thank you for your response. Yes I do realize they are super crappy pictures. It wasn't my camera.. and the flash kept coming on..

Okay.. so I would basically be blocking the relay that turns on the fuel pump?
Now where would I find this? AIM=julie12347

Sorry, not sure on a 96 Accord, but it will be at the "PGM-FI Relay", [fuel pump relay] and you can hear where it is, on most Honda/Acura's it's under dash above left kick panel, as for the wire color all I can tell you is on a 91-95 Legend it's, [green black] on a 90-93 Integra it's also, [green/black] on a 94-98 Integra it's, [green/blue] and on a 96-98 Civic it's, [green/yellow].
It should be easy to find with a multimeter, it will show a ground for a few sec. when ign. is turned on, [fuel pump primes system] and then turn off, and show a constant ground once car is started, and as I said, this will be a low currant ground, it probably takes less then 200mA to "trigger" the relay so a very small switch could be used.
