Last days of #559 with me
Well as some of you remeber a thread I created about selling a car via Escrow.com Turns out that it is legit although I highly recommend against it. What a pain in the ***. They expect you to release the car before the funds are in your bank account. Basically the buyer gets a loan that goes to escrow.com. They contact you for your information ie bank acct # and routing number. Then they contact you to let you know the funds have been transferred from the buyers loan to escrow.com, at which point they want you to release the car. Once the buyer has the car they release the funds. Well needless to say that's not how we did it. I broke the rules big time and made sure all of the loan I had with my bank had a 0 balance.
Well the buyers at the DMV getting a temp tag and then coming by to pick up the car. Sadly I won't even be there to see the car leave. They way I look at it though is I'm saving about $600 a month which in turn is race caR parts and once that's done, roughly 2 track events a month. I'm sad to see her go but it's for good reason. I'll get another DD ITR in about a year or so. This time either a black one with JDM front already on it or an OG 97.
Here are the last few pics I had with her before I left for the WTDR event. After this past weekend I know I have made the right decision to sell my DD ITR and sink the money into the race caR. On to the pics.

And here's why I sold her, she's on the left and my money pit on the right.

I know this is pointless but I just figured I'd let everyone know about the escrow.com experience. If you have patience and good debating skills, go for it because it is legit. But if your like me DON'T DO IT.

No you have me confused with Franza, now that R is a show car...
On the real though, I can't wait to have this car on a track. I'm looking at Jan/Feb at either Sebring or Homestead.

Holy cow Dave you are going to have a ton of money wrapped up in this car and hobby. I thought I was nuts dumping nearly $15k into my hatch thus far and work hasn't even started on the car. Still gathering aftermarket parts. LOL

Parker and Allan, joo guys are bastids.....Thanks for making me really REALLY want to skip christmas for everyone only to buy parts for my car
Oh and to Neo, Asspenny, typer_696, joo guys will have another R close by. She is already in Ft. Lauderdale as we speak.

HELLO! This is my first post and I thought this would be the perfect place to start, since i am the PROUD new owner of #559!!! THANKS DAVE, for selling me your first born! Well, yeah..the Escrow.com, BULL$hIT! I DID however get finacing when everyone else LAUGHED at me!
So on to important things...Yesterday was my first time buying a car without ever driving it or another of that model. I hadn't even driven a GS-R, so was i surprised when i learned what "when V-Tech kicks in" means!!!!!!!!!!! Had a helluva time keeping the needle down on the 3 hour ride home down 95, but somehow I managed. I'm starting to get a feel for her and how she handles, and I am seriously thinking I need to get another as soon as i can afford it to store so I have another when this one, heaven forbid, lays down to sleep. Like surfing, I think this ITR is going to get in my blood and be there forever. I find myself trying to think of places i need to go just to drive it, but do I REALLY NEED to have a destination?
So my first day on the way home from work, someone offered me $1000 more than i paid cash. I think he would have had to add a zero for me to even consider. Well, i should stop babbling, but THANKS AGAIN Dave! I am looking forward to my first meet in December.

Sorry...I'm still too excited to think! I'm actually going to move just so i have a garage to put her in. How many people are willing to move because of their car? (People that dont know what driving is really all about!)
