Fused power source?
Hi all, i'm looking for a fused power source in my car, and i pulled off the fusebox cover (on the interior), and saw that there were a couple that were "unused" (or should be), that had fuses in them (like the power door locks fuse on a car that doesnt have power door locks). Is there anything else that draws power from here? I'm just going to simply connect the wire to the side that doesnt normally recieve power (ie the side that wouldnt have power if the fuse was broken). Sound right?
well it shouldnt really matter cause the amperage definitely isnt going to go over 20a, but i'm gonna hardwire a dc-to-ac inverter
If you can get to the wire you are talking about then, Yeah. It'll work. But be sure to pick the right "empty" fuse because some fuses (even though they don't mention it) power more than what's on the fuse diagram. Test for this by pulling the fuse and noting if anything changes.

Your hooking up a power inverter?
I would grab ignition/accessorry power from the ignition harness and use that. Obviously fuse the line yourself.
