Ok its my mom's car, its a 2002 EX., apparenlty yesterday it had a problem starting but started evenutally. Today its completely dead.

1-its not the battery since everything seems to work
2-when you turn it on the gagues start jiggling and rattling.
3-there is absolutely no response from the engine, doesn't make any noise whatsoever. doesn't even crank

What could it be?

Starter?

 

searched around on anohter site, and apparently its probably just a battery, at worst its the alternator

 

when my battery was drained my gauges would flicker too, can you jump start it ?
