Booya. Maggie's my teggy. Friend is R1. R1 is an orgasm on wheels. Let's just say for the sake of this post that it's far from stock, I got to drive today going home from the car wash, and booya. It's nifty.

oh and before you even ask, H&R's have already been ordered (1.8's), Konis in April, and bumper painting is scheduled (the good body shops require appointments) for spring break. I found a ditch when I avoided a deer so I needed something to replace my not-so-lovely (nor functional; some might say trashed would be appropriate) stock bumper. I'd rather drive around with an off-color bumper than no bumper at all.






EDIT: haha wow i guess it's a damn good thing those springs are on the way. That fender gap is fugly.

I've driven a few R1's... if it's yours just be sure to keep up on all the maintenance. they require quite a bit of upkeep... or all you will have is a pile of metal. stock engine/turbo?

 

yeah just don't abuse it when the engine is cold. I know a guy that has fone through 8 rotaries.

the integra looks like its ready for the rally division. just need some big foglights in the front. dont put on a bumper without getting it painted first...thats asking for some uncle ben flames.

 

He said his stock bumper was trashed and didn't want to go around w/ no bumper. I wouldn't want to, either, especially since it holds my turn signals.... hey what do you do for turn signals?

 

it came with some that mount to the bumper support, they're behind the large middle grill. amber bulbs, clear lenses so they're hard to see unless they're on. i'll go see if i can get me a pic now that it's dark out.


oh and as for the uncle ben flames, so what? i don't drive around acting like my car's the shiznit because it has a bigmouth on it, actually i don't drive around like my car's the shiznit period. to be honest, just cause someone has a certain thing on their car (my opnion anyways) doesn't make it rice, it's thinking that something like a body kit or a sticker will make it faster, or just plain driving like your poop doesn't smell bad. to me rice is attitude 95% of the time. granted, there's nasty lookin cars out there that are nothin but rice. but still.........it's the mentality that something cosmetic makes your car faster that makes something rice in my book.

Nice R1! I just saw an FD3S RX-7 up close and personal for the first time today. We don't have many up this way. I was surprised by how small it was - I don't think it was much bigger than my G3 Teg (and only a bit wider at that). It needed a little TLC, though. Say, if you're close by, could I drive the R1 some time?

The Teggy will look very nice once it gets painted. And yes, an unpainted bumper is much better than none at all.

took the bumper off (needed to get at some stuff behind it anyways so here's a pic of the brackets (circled in red) for the turn signals.
