Default Header Fabrication/Design

I'm looking at building a 4-1 longtube header for a non-Honda engine where no applications exist. Besides using Burns' X-design service, what other programs/formulas have been used successfully to calculate dimensions. So far I found one site at:

headerdesign.com

Has anyone here used their free service with successful dyno results? What else have you used?

I also picked up a 3/8" 304 SS flange so far. I was planning on using mandrel bends from JC Whitney but was wondering if it's possible to MIG together mild steel and 304 SS (flange)? I've been told it's possible using a 304 SS wire, but just wanted to make sure. Also, what's a good thickness for primary tube thickness? 16 gauge? There isn't much info on fabbing a NA longtube header, so any other tips for a header noob are appreciated.

apparently their software doesnt understand the concept of a high hp 4 cylinder. itried every combo nadi t told me "peak horsepower is unrealistically high"

louie is right, just stick with the burns software.... louie, did you just wake up have you not slept yet... it is just a wee bit early over there
