There are bulbs generally available that will give you a little more light on the road. Sylvania Silvertars, for example.
The problem with conventional bulbs that give you more light is that they have to burn hotter than the bulbs that came on the car, and this will generally lead to a faster failure rate for the bulbs.
The bulbs you can buy that make your car look like there are HID will move the spectrum too far into blue and will give you actually less light on the road.

I don't mean to sound like an ad for Sylvania...it's just that the Silverstars are readily available in high volume disocunt stores like Autozone, Advance Auto and even Wal Mart.
They do work, and provide a visible difference when changed from your normal halogen bulbs.
They can burn out quickly, though, and you should probably have spares or be otherwise prepared for a shorter lifespan than normal.

Piaa's are waaaaaay better quality than Silverstars. I've had Piaa's in my RSX for a year now and I've had no problems.
I constantly hear other people on this site talk about how many times there Silverstar have blown out on them and they gotta replace them.
Piaa's cost more, but if you figure that if you have to keep on replacing other bulbs that burn out on you, you're going to end up spending the same amount of money evertually.
Hope that helps...

DO NOT get PIAA bulbs. They cost like $60-70 for a pair and will lower lumen output because of the blue or purple coating on the bulb. I had these and they blew out in 5 months. Looked nice but light output was like stock or worse.
If you want more visibility (light output on the road) get Philips Vision Plus. You seem pretty close to the Chino area. The owner of http://www.suvlights.com sell these bulbs for $40 OTD. Call him and buy in person because he ships pretty slow.
