Default Suspension Question

Hey all, I drive a 95 Civic CX hatchback. I recently had a incident where I went off the road in a full four wheel drift and took out a bunch of brush. Now I have this "shimmy" when I let off the gas. All 4 wheels are balanced and my tires don't have any broken belts. I have a bad driver side front axle and was wondering if that alone could be the problem that would cause the steering wheel to shake when not under acceleration? Other ideas are appreciated! Thanks guys.
