Default idle problem

92 civic cx with 97 jdm type r . ive had it for a wile.i did the swap myself and got it from a friend who had the swap in his carand was having the same problem in his car also. i replaced the idle air control motor 2 times thats not the problem. tryed different ecu's .. i dont think its a vacuum issue its not surging up and down just goes to around 3000 and stays there..i had a 97 gsr motor in it before the type r with no idle problems. so at a stop the car idles perfect , when i start to drive it jumps up to about 3000rpm.. when i come to a complete stop it returns to perfect idle... but when it idles at a stop it makes a humming noise (low) from my intake.. i know a decent amount about motor swaps and so do alot of my friends but we are baffled.. if anyone can help let me know...

thanks..

jdm type r , and type r ecu with obd1 to obd2 pig tail..

i had the same problem when i swapped my 98 ITR motor into my DC. I drove like that for a few days but it never went away. We tried adjusting the TPS and idle, but it didnt really do much. So as a last desperate act I switched ECU with one of my friends who also had a JDM type R ecu. Problem went away!! He needed his ecu back and so i had to put mine back in. The problem never came back?? weird. I sorry, this probably wasn,t any help but maybe sommeone else could be of more help, try swapping the ecu and see if that fixes it

Maybe the hybrid forum would help more.
