Axle problems with a zc
hello everyone. I recently purchased a zc swap from jspecjdm.com and I am having some problems with axle fitment. the zc transmission came equipped with an intermediate shaft which was male. the only axle we could find was from a 94-and up integra. this was too short however and when the wheel was cranked all the way left, the inner joint popped out. we got really confused and decided to look at my friends crx with a zc. his had a female int. shaft. so after some research and a call to jspecjdm, we found that the 87 integra has a female int. shaft. We acquired one of these and it didnt bolt up to the trans. errrr!! then we read somewhere that if you take the passenger side from an 88-91 civic/crx and use the 94 and up integra inner hub that it works. that was also too short!! Please help! any suggestions are welcome oh and thanks for reading this long *** post.
You would need either axles from a 89 Integra, or the 90-91 Integra. The 89 are a little shorter than the 90-91. Depending on the car, will depend on what is the best fitment.
I recently put a zc engine with the matching zc tranny into my 90 hatch. We bought a zc intermediate shaft off of ebay (thats how it was listed) and used a set of 91 integra axles and everything works fine. I don't know if the int shaft was male or female as I had a friend install everything.
