Default HELP: Is problem my fuel pump?

So I have this issue that has been going on for a while now. Whenever i am cruising on the highway and am at a steady speed, after about 30 minutes the car acts up. It will bog down really bad and then will sound like the exhaust is brewing coffee (pops and makes a perkolating type sound.) Then it will catch after about 30-45 seconds of this and haul *** (due to the throttle eing pushed down harder to maintain speed. It also seems to burn a lot of gas during this as well.

The only time it gets a cel is when i am decelerating in 5th gear due to the o2 wire being cut. So no CEL during this process at all.

Please help! I am turboing the car this week but am worried as to what this is.

well i will say it is not your fuel pump. the honda fuel pump hardly never ever go bad. that would be the last thing. i would check your injectors or something.

could it be the o2 sensor not being hooked up?

i c...i would still check it to see if it got gunked up or not....sometimes people fill up their gas at the pump when those big truckers are filling the gas stations tanks...just think all that gas is going into their tank so its gonna make all the gunk on the bottom get stirred up...u never know...it could also be gunk in ur fuel lines..u should hope not cuz that is a bitch to flush out...i wouldnt go turbo till u get this sorted out....does the motor temp go up when this is happening

Mine had those very symptoms with bad oxygen sensor. The sputtering at steady speeds and CEL on deceleration.....

O2 fixed it......

sorry i don't know what your problem is, but you should definately hold off on turboing it until you get this problem sorted out. you're just asking for trouble otherwise.
