Default New speakers

Ok, I don't know anything about audio...at all. I know this...2 years ago I got a Blaupunkt HU and 4 6.5" Eclipse door speakers for my car. I do know that the drivers side front speaker is blown. I don't know why because I never have the music up loud or the bass on high. There is no amp, just the HU power. What are some good but cheap replacement speakers? It pisses me off that these supposedly high quality speakers crapped out on me after just 2 years. Thanks. The HU is Blaupunkt San Jose and was retailed at $400 2 years ago if that helps at all.

Is there any certain type of Pioneers that are better for the money than others? Ok, I've been doing a little bit of research. I found some kicker 6.5" for 49.99(I'm assuming a pair). I hear they don't put out much bass unless you have an amp hooked up. I do want a little bass, so I may stick an 8" sub in the back and get a 300 watt amp or something. I just want smooth and crisp sound, not a lot of bass.

Make sure, regardless of which speakers you get, that the ones you want have a rubber surround. Foam surrounds, which is found on cheap paper cone OE speakers, degrade after a while and fall apart. Butyl rubber will last a lot longer, extending speaker life.
