What do you have to protect your car from theft? Many of my friends have gotten their older generation hondas broken into and stolen, and I was wondering if our cars are easy to steal as well.

 

I think RSX's are not a common theft vehicle because our parts are not as easly swappable to other cheaper cars. Factory immobolizer deters rookie thieves. IF you must have an alarm always go for the high end stuff and don't skimp out on the install. You can even DIY and make the alarm harder for theives to shut off and over ride.

 

i've only known one dude who has had his RSX stolen, and it was only because the idiot left the keys in the car.

with the immobilizer, basically a flat bed/tow truck is needed to take the car

yeah. i'm not too worried about my car being stolen. i'm planning to go off to uc berkeley soon. i'm kinda debating on whether i should take my car or not

 

if you had a DC chassis yeah you should be afraid but with the RSX your golden. I park my RSX on the street everynight

 

there are ways to easily circumvent the stock immobilizer
