Not too hard, I can do it by mysellf in the driveway in a day, but I've done it a few times. If this is your first car maintenance project, then I wouldn't try it, but if you're comfortable taking a transmission out of a car, then go for it. I run my Civic up on ramps and drop the tranny out the bottom when I do it. I got a cheap tranny jack at Harbor Freight that makes putting it back in pretty easy.

No, just hand tools. I usually unbolt the lower ball joints and pull the axles out of the diff, then zip-tie them out of the way. That way I don't have to take the hubs apart. I also unbolt the linkage from the shifter instead of trying to remove that lousy ******* pin, man I hate that thing. Other than that the Helms manual should have pretty good instructions. I also put a board across the oil pan and use a floor jack to tilt the motor to make it easier. Make sure you torque the bolts correctly too, you don't want that flying apart on you.

Actually I just did mine again yesterday, put in a new Competition Clutch Stage 5, took me half the day doing it in my driveway with hand tools.
