93 accord EX no start when below +39 degrees F
here's a good one for ya all. my car will not start when the temp gets below 39 degrees (approx) F. when i crank the engine, it'll crank over like there is no problem, but will not start/fire up. doesn't matter if you try it many times or not. if the temp outside is low enough, it'll just crank. i cleaned up the fast idle valve (which was reallly dirty). checked for vacuum leaks, found none. checked TB and it was a lil dirty but cleaned it regardless. Plugs are practically new and look great. I know it's not a battery type problem cause it has plenty of juice and cranks great. if i wait for the ambient temp to rise to a higher level, boom bada bing - it starts right up like there was never a prob. other than the starting prob, not much to say but it runs great. Any ideas people? thanks
latest news. here's some freaky Sh!$. i just went outside not 5 mins ago, it's 28 degrees out. i was gonna start t/s my problem and guess what..... it started. like it was no big deal. fired right up. WTF!?!!?!? i think i'm gonna take out the main relay, take it apart and check all the solder joints. this is flippin me out. anyone got some other ideas?
well, everyone, i have fixed the problem. it was a bad distributor module. since i got it replaced, the cold has not been issue. woohoo, all gtg.
