My '99 Accord 4-Cylinder has had stalling problems since this morning after I filled up. I stalled the car then after I started it up again I accidentally gave it some gas. The car went back to idle then died all of a sudden. Now, every time I start the car it drops to idle and then dies. I can drive it holding down the gas, but otherwise it doesn't want to run.

I have replaced the cap, rotor, wires, and plugs but the problem is still there. When driving the car, there is a pretty strong fuel smell. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be?

 

Check your fuel filter. Also check the evaporation canister.

 

if not, get your fuel pump checked out.
