Reaction time has absolutely nothinig to do with his time. They don't add that to your time.
Your number one problem is 60 foot. Get that to a solid 2.2 and your be hitting 14.8-9

All depends on the car, tires, track conditions, driving habits, etc.
I got my ECU chipped and I use a 2-step rev limiter, so this allows me to set my launch consistently for every run. If I set it too high, the car spins and gets an *** 60', like you did. If it's too low, the car bogs and runs slow. With my tires and setup, I found that I launch best at about 4000 RPM, but I also have very sticky street tires.
Bottom line is: You just have to experiment with it, and see what works with your setup. I'm hitting 2.1 60's myself, but an ideal goal for you would be 2.2's. Do that and you should see a 14.8 or so.

experiment with different launches. i found that my r/t's were best when launching at 5k RPM and feathering until i felt the tires hook. i'd run consistent 14.5's, trapping 97mph at best, and hitting numerous 2.1 60 ft. this was all with a stock b16, i/h/e and zdyne chipped ecu.
yea r/t time has nothing to do with it. thats why its called an e/t for elapsed time. it starts as soon as you leave. you can tell by sitting there for 3 minutes and then going and still running a 15.0. someone might get mad at you though. haha
i launch at 5 grand and I got a stock b16a and I run like 14. something but that was a long time ago and now I got a 93 gsr so I should be like 13. something now but when u launch launch at the two yellow lights that count down before green u will do way better thats what I do but thats a secret not anymore though lata.

are you serious? going from a b16 to a b17 is NOT going to take more than (at least in your case) half a second off your ET. do way better if he launches at "two yellow lights?" uh, did you or did you not read about the RT having nothing to do with ET?

Your R/T has nothing to do with your 1/4 mile time. Your 1/4 mile time doesn't start until your over the R/T line. Your car is running pretty much what it should. Getting LSD will help get your 60 ft time down.
