Default New Accord owner! a few starter questions

we (wife and i) just traded in an Element for a 2004 Accord EX-V6 6spd coupe (silver in color)

its completely stock other than bug gaurd, window visors and a sunroof visor.

other than the Element we had for a year i'm not a honda guy i'm well versed in GM cars (W-body specifically, 3.8L motor (N/A and S/C) is my forte)

I'm not looking to make this car too much faster (i said that about my Grand Prix, then i turbo'd and 450whp later i want more..lol) but looks is something that i'd like to add a little to.

I will definately be putting on some 18's in the spring that I already own, but i'm looking for some recomendations on tire sizes, some are saying 225/40 ans some say 235/40. i'm looking for the closest to stock overall size so my speedo is correct

also i've seen on procarparts.com that there are projector headlights available for the 7th Gen Accord. I was wondering if there is any feedback on the quality/fitment of them? also does anyone have pics of the black housing projecotrs on a silver car?

I guess that's all that i have for now. I'm sure that I'll become a regular on here soon enough as I am definately a car guy and a new forum will be great for me to learn about this car.

thanks, i look forward to getting to know some of you

cheers

J

As far as tire sizes go, tirerack.com has specs for many different sizes. For each size, it has section width, rim width ranges, and diameters (which is good for the speedo problem) etc. Check the dia. for the stock tires and match it up with the size your looking at getting. Hope this helps, for the tire thing, anyway. Welcome to HT. You will probably like it here.
