Default Heater core question

i have a 94 civic with a b18c and i no longer drive it in the winter so i want to get rid of anything that is gonna be useless like the heater core for example. My question is the 2 lines that go through the fire wall to the heater core have coolant in them and i was wondering if i were to take out the heater core could i just like put a cap of the to outlets from the block? any help would be appreciated.

you just have to link the 2 hose together go to Home depot and by a bypass or a hose link and put them together. I did this to one of my vehicles that I used for race only for years and never had any problems.
