Default billet turbo backplate ?

i was just browsing turbonetics website and noticed that they offer billet blackplates for the backside of the compressor. whats the benefit of running one of these?

you get more oil pressure which adds horsepower....only on non vtec engines.....but you have a dc2 so you already have a vtec.....
