ECM replaced
Back in late Sept. or Oct. I posted I had compressor problems. I found a bad relay but nothing else. I had it checked by several technicians they both said I had a bad ECM. So we got a salvaged ECM it fixed the A/C but now I have other problems #1 no instrument panel lights #2 when locks are engaged a loud noise #3 a clicking noise coming from the console between the front seats(near the emergency brake handle) #4 a strong smell like electrical smoldering when I used my heat. What does the ECM control? I thought the ECM was in the floorboard somewhere my wife said the technician told her he had to go in the dash for something. I'll follow up with him Monday(11/21)but if there is any info I could be given so I'll have more of an idea as to what may be going or any helpful info I'm all ears. None of these problems existed before the ECM swap and #3 noise happens when I apply the brakes only.
