I had this same problem in my '92 GS-R that had an SiR II ECU w/ a SiR II B16, the code did not become a problem until a year and a half after donig the swap and it would only come on under heavy load (i.e up hill and in vtec). The car got totalled before I could figure it out. I looked up as many resources and talked to as many techs as I could and we were never able to find where the ELD was, on the car or in any diagrams. I did swap my Alternator since it was time any way but that did not help the code at all. Good luck cause I am curious if somebody on here can figure this out.

It's not my topic but I am curious where your ELD is?? I looked and never found one on my '92 GSR or any DA integra based on the wiring diagrams I had. Do you know exactly where it's located???

This is for a 93 GSR with the 1.7 Vtec

The placement of it shouldn't matter what engine it has. It seems like it's located on the underside of the underhood fuse box.

PURPOSE
The Electric Load Detector (ELD) is used by the Engine Control Module (ECM) to sense the total amperage draw placed on the electrical system.

OPERATION
Sends a voltage reference to the ECM which then determines and controls the charge rate of the alternator.

The Electronic Load Detector (ELD) is located under the fuse block.

I figured that is what someone would say since that is where the ELD normally is. in this case the '92 -93 GSR does not have one I have checked THOUGHLY!! It is not even listed in the wiring diagram. I know what the ELD should look like because we had a 90 CRX and 92 Accord that were both in the underhood fuse box. I was going to try and make one of those work only to find out there was not one on the integra to pull out??? I do beleive there is an ELD somewhere on this car but on the contrary i have not found anyone that can find it???

i had the same code thrown when i swapped out my ls for a ls vtec

we threw in a odb1 dissy and it never threw the code again. only reason we did the dissy is the brushes in my stock ls dissy were so bad.
