I will run on 17inch rims next season, cause it is not possible to race on a little brake setup and 15inch rims and not to get fading after a few hard rounds on the track.
330x28mm grooved brake discs with aluminium center
6 piston caliper
steel brake lines
1x Ferodo DS3000 and 2x DS3000 endurance pads (long distance pads)
Kosten: 2704 Euro with the pads.
I only had to wait 2 weeks after ordering!

Yes, I will try it. But what should I do if the pedalway is too long.....what cylinder options do I have? Is there a bigger out there which is plug and play for the ITR?
I do not know on which wheels I should drive next year. The SSR-C would be awesome but it is out of production I have heard?!

Plug and play, I can't think of anything. Maybe go with some aftermarket unit (Tilton, Wilwood, etc.), though it would require some fitment work both to the body and for the lines.

i have a JDM 94ish STi boost/master, and it should be a direct repalcment for the ITR. Size is 1 3/16 instead of 1inch. And they push 4 pitstonc calipers stock.
I know it bolts right in but i can;t remember if the arm that connects to the brake pedal works or not. Unfortuanly i modded the arm to fit my suzki samurai so i can;t messure it for you.

I don't know about locking the wheels up on hard braking. This is only a matter of learning the new setup. Stock brakes on an R can lock everything up if not properly modulated...

That's entirely too much money. And yes, you're right about the locking up thing. Stock brakes, even properly proportioned, can lock up the tires fine. That braking traction is more a function of tires than any part of the brake hardware system.

Remember, I got 2 extra pad sets which are about 220 usd per set. There are not much options on big brake kits. Brembo sucks, every track driver will tell you so, cause the discs are crap.
The Big AP Kit use the same pads than the little AP kit I had and it expensiver than the Tarox
Wilwood homepage sucks so much and there is absolutley no info, so I don't care about them.
The AEM brake kit has bored discs, which sucks on the track. You get hairline cracks between the holes.
There are some other big brake kits out there, especialy USA brands (Rotora, etc), but most of them a only show. 330mm diameter, but only 22 or 24mm thick discs......what should I do with that small thingys?

Although I used to swear I'd never see the need for bigger brakes on the ITR, nowadays I can crack those Autozone rotors in just a couple of weekends.
It seems that bigger rotors might be a good idea for some of us, if only for the better heat dispersal.

We seem to have a few more choices on this side of the pond. Thank goodness.
I'd probably pay up to $1500 for a big brake setup on the front, but I don't think I'd shell out twice that!

And Austrian, I realize your options are limited and that for your application you need something pretty hardcore. Just a bummer that you have to pay so much for it

I've been searching for Tarox's feedback on HT for numerous time and guess u're probably the first one running their products.
Much agreed on the Rotara & AEM brake kit etc. And I dun see a lot of guys using Wilwood brake kits in FIA race series either.
What do u think about the Tarox G88 front rotors, Austrian Type-R? Some ppl always say the more slots there are, the less service area there is. Which makes a 40slots rotor sound simply like a fancy bling.....
However, my friends in HK had some G88 front rotors, Project Mu HC-Titan front pads to go with FC3S's OEM 4pot on his DC2 before. Still tons of beef left on the rotors after he used 2 set of HC-Titan front pads(he does drive pretty hard)....
And still work pretty good with the Ferodo DS2500 right now...(the 3rd set of pads as far as I know).......
Pls let me know what u think.
