Default possessed 91 EX!

I have 1991 Accord EX that is acting very strange!

Earlier this week, my son took it out to get gas. He said it ran great. The next morning he wouldn't get it to start.

Today, we went out to work on it. I tried to start it with starting fluid and it wouldn't fire. As I was walking away to get some help to check the spark, the radiator fan kicked on. I didn't think anything of it.

I pulled the plug, grounded it and saw spark. I put it back together and my son fired it up. It sounded good. When it stopped, I thought my son had turned it off. I went through some other basic checks and never got it to idle. Once started, it ran strong when the RPMs were up.

The strange things are:
- the fan would come on and turn off
- the last time we ran it, smoke came out of either the intake or behind the battery. (We couldn't tell because the fan was running.)
- it would try to stall while we were holding up the rpms
- when it was sitting with the key on, the engine moved like 10 degrees. I noticed the air pump pulley move.

Here is a little history:
- VIN: JHMCB7667MC005632
- I replaced the distributor January 05
- Within the last four months the antenna, rear window defroster, dome light stopped working
- the cranking has been sluggish for a while. (Either the fan has been draining the battery at night or the battery was bad. We used a different battery in our testing today.)

It is now sitting in the driveway with the battery disconnected.

Should I call an exorcist?

The fan turning on and off itself can be the radiator problem. Because I had that problem in the past with one my cars which is a 1993 Accord LX. But the battery thing is pretty strange.
