Default Interchangeable Shift Levers? AT

For awhile I've been wondering if a 6th gen automatic tranny shift lever would be able to fit on a 5th gen. The reason is because mine is wearing down and slightly faded.
This is regarding an OEM shift lever, not an aftermarket one. I would like to replace it with a leather one.

TIA

Maybe this will help. Anyone know if this could be assembled into a 5th gen automatic?

thanks

Does anyone have any suggestions.

I am hoping to buy one, but I'd rather not possibly waste money.

How will you make the spring that let's you shift be able to move.... maybe you would need the entire piece of the shifter... that's just a guess!!!

yes i am meaning the whole necessary parts. Take one out, and replace with other. I don't know if the parts are the same or not. That's what i am trying to find out. Maybe the springs are the same too, i just don't know.

Thanks for replying

I think that if you are getting the whole thing... ...it could be a nice fit... but... maybe a little customization..... if you want it, buy it... I would love to figure out a way of installing it.. even if it takes customizing the part!
I say "buy it" and have fun!!
