Default Supercharge B16A 93 Civic EG?

Hey guys, I've been toying with the idea of supercharging my 93 Civic Hatchback (EG). As of right now I have a B16A Second Gen (SIRII) dropped, and the rest are just bolt ons (Exhaust, Intake, Headers). I was also thinking of upgrading my cams and camgears, but I really want to consider super-charging it. I don't want to turbo it, but does anyone know the advantages and disadvantages of supercharging my EG? Has anyone done this before? Should I even waste the money, or keep it and upgrade my cams? Thanks guys

I'm assuming since no one is responding that this is a bad idea

If you get the vortech aftercool kit it gets you like 270 hp or something. But it cost like 4 grand, you can turbo and upgrade internals and run 400+ hp on a turbo with that money.

I will tell you, I have driven a lot of FI cars in my time, and NA cars. Ha, that makes me sound way older than I am. Anyway, the most fun I have ever had in a car is a gutted EG hatch with a jackson charged GSR motor. That thing just took off right from the line, pulled all the way up, and was just an all round blast!
Supercharging is fun IF you arent interested in big numbers. If you are wanting 300whp get a turbocharger. But a Jackson charged B16A is going to be a blast to drive. Thats what I plan on doing with my B16A EG hatch. I cant wait.
For reference I have driven:
Supercharged:
GSR's
ITR's
GSR EG
Prelude
Civic Si
Vortech Charged:
S2000
Si
Turbocharged:
ITR
GSR
ITR EG
GSR EG
B16A2 EG
Prelude
S2000
Those are just the hondas and Acuras I have played around in with FI. I am personally not a fan of Turbo's, but Im not looking for huge power. I have been walked many times by turbocharged things, and thats cool. I have huge respect for them. I just find it fun being Jackson charged.
Hope that helps.

We have a good discussion on superchargers in the FI forum.
