Default Recommend me an insurance company

I've been calling and doing some research today on various bikes, and I've called Geico and Progressive thus far. I am in southern california, can anybody recommend a company that they have had a cheap/reliable experience with, or another one that I would want to get a quote from? I searched and didn't see anything relevant, Thanks in advance.

State Farm

Multi-vehicle discount is the way to go (car and bike) to get the best deal but I don't think you'll be insurable with them if ya have more than 2(?) points on yer license.

714)847-7070 - my local State Farm office in HB.

Ask for Lynne (assuming she's still there).

So far McGraw is the winner..

State Farm is next to be called.

A- you are right, there was 1 other relevant thread under motorcycle insurance search archive when i looked again.

edit: State Farm was the most expensive thus far.

Call insurance agents in your area for quotes. Most of the time the private ones will search a few companies at once and find you the cheapest. I have separate providers for my liability and my fire/theft.

You suck at searching then.

» Search Results
Your search for insurance returned 65 results.

If you're looking specifically for socal people then chances are you're going to get all the same answers as that one socal thread.

I had Mcgraw before (they might be under PSIC as well). Now I have AAA.

I searched for motorcycle insurance. I'm not interested in car insurance, or good car insurance providers. I don't have a car, don't drive a car, and don't want to.

I'm looking specifically for cheap/reliable motorcycle insurance.

Thanks for the responses everybody.

Um, Chris is pretty much right. Do an archived search for "insurance" and limit it to the motorcycle forum. That's all the hand holding you get

didn't notice the search by forum.

you realize we've all wasted more time discussing this then just answering the question or ignoring it...

again, thanks to everyone who gave a response.

AAA is the way to go, put a car on the policy too and both rates go way down.

It pales in comparison to the number of times we've answered the same question over and over and over and over and over and over again.
