unless it's from someplace i know or a reputable private seller, then no, alot of them seems to be knockoffs of knockoffs, bad quality parts could kill your car, not worth it...

what he said. just work a littler harder and save up some more cash for something like Greddy, at least you know what you are getting. If you go with something cheaper now it will probably just cost you more in the end.

I MIGHT buy certain parts but important pieces I.E. the Turbo and wastegate especialy then NO. I might get some things like blow off valves and intercoolers and plumbing, as long as they are name brands. BUT for sure buy yourself a new turbo and wastegate. And i would probably buy a new exhaust manifold too. Go to Turbonetics website, they got some good turbos. And Inline Pro has alot of the other parts you will need.

vecco.com is a good place to buy turbo parts from for cheapon ebay, they sell some knock-off revhard manifold w/are very good quality other than the flange at the bolts are too thick to use factory mounting hardware. They sell a kit there w/everything for only about $100 more than it would cost to piece it together yourself w/is great for a beginner who wouldn't know what parts to pick. It comes with a smallish t3 turbonetics, evolution wg, knock-off BOV, no engine management, all the IC piping, turbo mani, and intercooler w/all the little stuff too. It requires some little mods but otherwise it's basically bolt-on for alot less than a true turbonetics kit. If you do want a cheap entry level kit I'd recommend a drag kit since they're cheapest. Greddy is the most reliable and easiest to install but costs by far the most. Good luck, check the sponsors FI forum, very good deals there.

I would'nt buy a turbo kit off ebay, infact I would'nt buy anything on ebay that costs more than $10 dollars. I got scammed out of $6 dollars off ebay, sorry but I just dont trust that site, especially if I was spending alot of money.

would a ss manifold still be bad if you reinforced the welds? i mean they say they are guaranteed against cracks and such.

there was a site call xspower or something like that they sold full kits for 600 with a t3/t4 and down pipe and stuff...just didnt sit well with me...i mean when u think of a turbo kit u expect to pay 2k or more...maybe thats jut what name brands beat into our heads as to what is "good" u could also try peicing one together...u might get lucky and get a good kit for pretty cheap...

I personally would not pay money for anything SS Autochrome makes, unless they can somehow shape up that reputation of theirs... although to their credit, I've heard the turbo's themselves aren't that bad.

IMO i wouldnt purchase anything like a turbo kit, or car, or anything high priced on ebay. shift ***** & boots, etc. are cool, but not something that has really high value. thats just me trying to be safe. if its a company that's selling them on ebay you should contact the company directly instead of purchasing it off ebay. if its a private seller i would suggest move on unless they have a guarantee.
