Hardly a fair fight IMO. Even with the Godlike Kev Smith aboard a road bike vs a race car is silly. Now if they had used a Prep'd gixxer you could kiss the car bye bye and that annoying tart VBH.

You really think a prepped racebike would be that much faster? I guess with a dialed-in suspension and sticky slicks and brakes, you're right.

I think you can get anything with 4 wheels and lights road legal in the UK (maybe a little exaggeration...) What did she call the license plate, a "tax disc"?

license plate != tax disc. Ask luke, he's the bloke that lives there.

Tax disk 99% sure it is registration

ie meaning it is road registered/compliant with all rules and regs to make it legal to drive the bastard on a public road

OK lets look at it......

Now there's a nice warm and cosy interior. Not impractical at all, doesnt actually have a roof or wipers or heating...

Storage best described as limited eh

XTR4 Factory built in Bright Yellow. Factory demonstrater with less than 2500 miles Full spec car with 250BHP upgrade. Comes with Race/Track spec suspension, brakes and Carbon rear wing. 3” FIA harnesses Removable steering wheel Stack competition instruments. 3 Piece split rim alloys fitted with Avon CR500 track day tyres

Hardly much of a road car. You can register pretty much anything. I know of a full race TVR Tuscan locally which shoots 3 foot flames out the side. Infact even WRC rally cars are road legal over here to drive between stages. This Westy wouldn't get up the average car park ramp!

Tax disc is like personal property tax in the US

MOT is a yearly test where your car has to meet specs. This is what makes it legal.

With the MOT and your insurance you then apply for Road Tax, which makes it legal to use on the road.

The difference a BSB spec bike compared to a stock one is mega. Suspension would allow you to get on the power much earlier and brake harder and deeper. You probably dont need much more power around that track but with a perfect gearbox setup and race slipper clutch I am betting at least 2secs a lap.

Interesting. I figured slicks would make the biggest difference with him struggling for traction. And yeah its not a matter of power for sure, not on that track.

I think the car would have been running CR500's which are a cut slick in reality. In the spirit of it cut slicks for the bike as well then. Thats another .5-1sec

Really well setup suspension stops chewing tyres and make it way more stable, its night and day. Plus it would be way more controlled in the transition from extension to compression allowing the tyre to do less work.

When I get a chanve I'll pull the GP250 class times from that circuit.

Hmm the 125's hold the records around Angelsey. in the 55's. I would be surprised if fifth gear have the same track layout.....dunno.

It kind of bugged me that they said no suspension set-up in the debrief. Kind of silly methinks.

not drifting but backing it in.

that was a good video but the guy on the bike is far more talented behind the bars than the girl is behind the wheel.

The guy is Kevin Smith and he is more than talented. He can stick pretty much anything on its side. Backing in, drifting on exits, rear wheel steering, pushing fronts, beleive me he is very well known.

As for Vicki, the bird in the car dont let a pair of **** fool you. She would kick your *** around a track and make no mistake. She has competed in many events including endurance.

Can I just say again that a 125 would be faster around there than a gixxer thou. Thanks

Yeh well they even say that there was many times when he couldn't put the power down because the front wheel kept comming up.Im sure a 600 woulda been faster as well...

i wouldn't necessarily assume that if i were you considering you dont always know the person on the other side of the monitor.

i could just tell by how she controlled the car that she is obviously a good driver hence the reason she has that job but i dont see her as exceptional by any means.
