I searched and did'nt find anything regarding this.
So I ask why do you not run gauges? We put oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, voltage, on my friends stock gsr and when it dropped pressure it was an easy fix(somehow the oil pump gave out).
I know it's not cheap but it should be considered a preventative measure. Why spend so much money on something(your motor) and expect it to run perfect? At least the gauges will give you some insight about what your motor is doing.
Please discuss, I know alot of people think it's not important, but trust me gauges are, well the ones that actually let you know what your motor is doing anyway.

I agree, but I have a simple question also. Which gauges (electric or mechanical) are more accurate and more reliable? I have an electric oil pressure and it seems to be very irratic around 4000 to 4300 rpm's. I also have electric water temp, which seems to be working perfectly!!
mechanincal gauges are more accurate, you do have to run oil, etc. lines to the cabin wich is a con.; but if done right you should have no problems.
The most accurate electronic gauges are the ones with 280* sweep, but they are way more expensive.

I ordered up mechanical ones. The electrical ones normally read off a stock sensor, and if that sensor craps out or does'nt work right in the first place it'll get a bad reading.
