Default I just purchased my 1994 GS-R

I have finally sold my 1994 Integra RS and bought this beautiful 94 black GS-R.
I can't wait to start doing things to it, its got 81903 miles on it, and I got it for 7800US, or 12500cdn.. its mint, I just got to change the timing belt and waterpump soon.

Can anyone give me info on what maintainence to do now? I want to regain all the stock horsepower.

Thanks

Get a Manual. Or look in the Owners manual if it has one.

Timing belt probably has not been changed yet. Waterpump, plug wires, fuel filter, possibly O2 sensor in a little bit. Change your gear oil too if hasn't been taken care of yet.

Yeah, what he said and,,,

Just to add and help out a little: Plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, try synthetic oil, new oil filter, flush the radiator and refill, get a compression check, check all hoses and wires for wear, check timing reset to stock if neccessary, check for leaks, very certainly a valve adjustment, check brakes & tires/reset to stock pressures. If all that is done and it checks out then take it out for a good flogging on a twisty back road and see how it all feels to you.

Remember that the Timing belt is VERY important! The waterpump is just what you do since your doing the timing belt.

Good luck, and WELCOME!!!

My 94 had 89K when I bought, got a slammin' deal of $6500, and it was near-perfect shape. That was almost a year ago and I've already put almost 20K miles on it.

congrats.. now go buy a helms manual (www.helminc.com).. i would do all the items listed on the major maintenance that you would get every 30K in addition to getting the timing belt, water pump, cap and rotor done... also check the brakes and rotors, and all the fluids, coolant, spark plugs, battery condition, tranny fluids, etc... do everything on the every 30K/major maintenance listed.. and then see what else needs to be replaced to get it in top condition..

That IS a Slammin deal for a 94 with 89K. I sold my 94 LS with I/H/E, tires and rims for $6,500. and it had 94,000 miles on it and it was a North East car.

So yes you got a good deal. My car was mainly dealer maintained with all pepers and a full printed history.

Currently I either do the work and minor maintenance or I have a great local race shop with a very good rep do the bigger stuff and the state inspections.

Good luck guys, and be safe

A.

PS oh yeah I bought the LS from the dealer in 96 with 22,000 miles on it for $11,000. So I figure I got alot out of it and got back more than I deserved.

Wow, some of you guys got your GSR for really good prices. I live here in the Bay Area, CA (norther CA) and GSR go for above Kelly Blue Book. Integra gsr are bought up crazy fast whenever one hits the market. People who sell their GSR here know that too, most sell their gsr for above KBB excellent value because that is how much the car is in demand here.
