Default Keeping Mud Guards WITH CTR rear lip......

I recently saw a picture w an EK hatch with the CTR rear lip and the mudguards are still on it.

My question is... how hard is it to modify the rear splash guards w/ the ctr lip and is this even possible?

Pics/Answers would be greatly appreciated.
