Default anything else you suggest i should have done?

i'm getting ready to have bc 3+ cams, cam gears, and their valvetrain installed. while i'm at it i'm also going to get a toda timing belt and my water pump replaced too. anything else you guys think i should have either replaced/upgraded while its in the shop? nothing too small or too big will be unreasonable. i like to take care of multiple things at once.

I would recommend installing a thinner head gasket to provide a small bump in compression.

i was thinking that as well.
i see that thickness ranges from .4mm for a buddy club up to .6mm for a toda and .7mm for a mugen if i remember correctly. i would just assume to choose the bc one since it'll bump it the highest unless anyone thinks otherwise, it keeps it in the family with the rest of the head as well.

Toda's gaskets are only equal to or thicker than stock - they don't currently offer a thinner gasket. I have no experience with the Buddy Club gasket, but we used the Mugen piece on my brother's engine, and have had no issues with it. Many others seem to have had positive experiences with the Mugen as well. It should provide roughly the same increase in compression as the BC gasket (it's not .7mm, which would be thicker than stock). Either should work fine, but as I've said, I only have experience with the Mugen.
