Default Emissions testing in AZ with maybe a bad cat.

So I think my carsound cat. is bad (surprise surprise...). I have the check engine light on with the secondary O2 out of spec. code (67 I think).

I am in Arizona and need to do an emissions test but I am thinking maybe I need to do something about this first.

My first thought is to modify the secondary 02 sensor to report the proper readings, then I get no cell. This may be okay because I believe in Arizona they do an OBDII read first, and then based on that they may do an exhaust test. I am not sure, anyone have input?

Otherwise, I need to buy a new cat. Suggestions on a place or kind? I am thinking I need it relatively soon, and I something highflow that bolts up to a JDM 4-1 (2.5 collector) and stock catback. I figure at worst I could have someone cut the ends off of the old carsound crap (er, I mean cat.) and weld them on to a new cat.

So can anyone suggest a cat. and place to get it from? I looked in to Hytech; the price is a bit stiff, but I think the problem would be ordering time; I hear they are pretty slow on turnaround.

Thanks

This has been covered quite a bit here dude, but I'm in a good mood today.

This is all you need right here:

You will still fail the emissions test. Once they plug in to your ecu they will see that you had a recent cel for o2, they will probably run your car on the machine.

In NC, you can fail without an active CEL. The computer checks readiness and subsystem codes, which take time to reset themselves.

And again, in NC, if there are any codes in the ECU, you get sent home. No secondary sniff test or anything

It's been awhile. I mean the local place I used to go to, LandSpeedRacing, well their website is down so who knows. And I hate carsound cats. So I am not sure what my options are.

So shut your pie hole and provide me with the knowledge I seek; this I command.

Yes, but I have an OBDII diagnostic computer, I should be able to clear everything out of there.
