LS/VTEC IDLING help ?!
i have an ls/vtec in my eg6 hatch..just got the swap done no more then a week ago.. everytime i warm up the car when i first start it, the engine IDLES at 1500k then drops to 1k after like 3 mins or so... not sure if thats normal, but i always thought the idle drops below 1k like at least 8 or 9k? or do i just need to retune it again?.... need some answers..thanks guys!
always in the morning and the weather is cold too by the way and when i dont use the car for hours..say like 4 or more hours...i assume i just need to retune right?
i dunno if those have a FITV but if it does and the FITV isnt closing all the way it can cause you to idle higher.

lol my friend with a ls vtec in his crx his idle bounces around from about 800 to 1300 every 2 seconds, and he just ignores it. says hes tried everything. besides that it runs great.
well my car idles at 2000 rpm when its ***** *** cold outside and casually moves down in intervals to under 1k after warmed up.
it used to idle around 1100 and stopped after an oil change, i dunno why it did that but who cares its working. it doesn't sound like much of a problem to me. plus its cold as *** outside
